You’ve done your research, and after thoughtful consideration you’ve decided to reap the benefits that a cloud migration can bring to your business. But you’ve got a lot of tech—including websites, databases, mobile apps, and more—and it’s difficult to know where to start.
In part one of this three-part joint AWS and Datadog webinar series, we’ll dive into the first phases of a cloud migration project, and help you to identify good starting points and tangible milestones. Starting with a classic stack, we’ll explain how to identify candidates for migration, provide a migration path, and explain the rationale behind the scenario.
Through the use of observability principles, combined with the principle of least effort, we’ll reveal how an introspective, data-driven approach will help guide you to the right decisions for your own environment. We’ll take a look at a handful of AWS services, including VPC, EC2, and RDS, as well as the Datadog observability platform and how it can be leveraged to help both your migration and the full life-cycle of your new environment.
